Absci

Absci combines AI with synthetic biology for de novo antibody and protein design, screening libraries in high-throughput cellular assays. It targets broad biologics applications including some GPCR-related work. While Absci integrates AI heavily, it relies more on generative models from binding or expression data than Abalone Bio's proprietary functional activity measurements from 100 million antibodies. Abalone Bio's yeast survival linkage directly ties to GPCR modulation, offering stronger specificity for activators. Absci may suit general design needs but trails in scale of real functional GPCR data for side-effect-reduced therapies.
