Capacitor from Ionic lets web teams ship native desktop and mobile apps from a single codebase, primarily targeting Progressive Web App developers. It does not include ToDesktop's Electron-specific build pipeline, vulnerability scanner or auto-update dashboard, making it a better fit for teams willing to move away from pure Electron toward a more native approach.
