Free SEO Audit Tool

Check a public page for common SEO issues and get clear next steps. Compare repeat audits on this device and download a report to work through with your team.

How it works ↓

13 checks on a public page’s HTML. No signup. Up to 5 audits per minute.

How to use the seo audit

  1. 1Enter the full URL of a public page and run the audit.
  2. 2Start with issues, then review the suggestions. Expand any check to see its evidence and next step.
  3. 3Download the report, make changes and run the same URL again to compare checks passed.

The URL is sent to our server so we can fetch the public page. Recent URLs and result counts are saved in this browser; clear them at any time. The audit does not store results in our database.

About the seo audit

This free SEO audit checks the HTML of one URL for common publishing mistakes: error responses, noindex directives, missing titles, unclear canonical URLs, headings, mobile viewport settings, image alt attributes, internal links, social sharing tags and JSON-LD syntax. Each result includes the evidence and a suggested next step. Use it before launching a page, after changing a template or while reviewing a landing page.

What to fix first

Start with HTTP errors and unintended noindex directives: they can prevent an otherwise useful page from appearing in search. Next, review the title, main heading and canonical URL. Treat character lengths and multiple headings as prompts for a human review, not automatic ranking failures. A page can pass this checklist and still need stronger content or better internal links.

A practical audit routine

Audit your homepage, a product page and one recently published article separately. Save each report, fix template issues once, then run those URLs again. For example, if a site redesign removed every canonical link, the useful result is confirming the preferred URLs are restored across representative pages—not just increasing a checklist count.

Go beyond a single page

Use Search Console to verify Google’s indexing and canonical selection. Use PageSpeed Insights for performance and Core Web Vitals, and Rich Results Test for supported structured data. This tool does not crawl the whole site or render JavaScript.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SEO audit free?

Yes. No account or payment is needed. You can run up to five audits per minute. Each audit checks one public HTML page, up to 2 MB, with a 20-second fetch limit.

Does passing every check mean my page will rank?

No. The result is a count of HTML checks passed, not a Google ranking score. Rankings also depend on usefulness, relevance, competition and other signals this tool does not measure.

Does it check whether Google has indexed my page?

No. It detects noindex directives in HTTP headers and robots meta tags, but it does not check robots.txt rules or Google’s index. Use URL Inspection in your own Search Console property for that.

Why does a working page fail to load in the audit?

Some websites block automated requests or require cookies, authentication or a browser challenge. The audit will explain that it could not fetch the page instead of presenting a successful result.

Can I compare audits after making changes?

Yes. The last ten URLs, check counts and run dates are saved on this device. Run the same URL again to see its previous count. Download a report to keep the full findings.

Does this audit render JavaScript?

No. It inspects the initial HTML response. Metadata or content inserted later by JavaScript may not appear in the report. Use a rendered-page inspection when testing a client-rendered app.
